This healthy combination helps to protect against fractures caused by osteoporosis by increasing both muscular strength and bone density. Trained RSVP volunteers lead bi-weekly classes which are FREE and open to the public in their own communities. Classes include standing and sitting exercises, using hand weights and ankle weights for resistance training. Medical clearance is required. Participants are asked to wear loose fitting slacks and shirts, and appropriate shoes (tennis shoes are good), and to bring a bottle of water and a towel.
