Seasonal Full-Time Streets or Parks & Recreation
Maintenance Worker

The City of Redwood Falls has openings for a full-time seasonal maintenance workers in the Street Department and Park & Recreation Department.  Individuals must hold a valid driver’s license and have good driving record.  Must have the physical ability to lift 75 lbs and work outside in the elements.  All applicants must be at least 18 years old. Starting hourly rate is $9.50/hour.  These positions may run between May to September or as needed or based on an individual’s availability.

Seasonal Park Employees:

Duties will include:  Mowing, weed trimming, loading and unloading motorized lawn equipment onto trailers and also have the ability to drive the trailered equipment to each location.  Other duties will include general maintenance work such as raking, cleaning up debris, painting and camp ground cleanup etc.

Seasonal Street Maintenance Employees:

Duties will include:  Painting cross walks and curbing throughout the City. Candidates will work with the full-time crew patching pot holes using rakes and shovels.  Spraying weeds and driving equipment such as a steel roller and pickups.  Duties will also include washing and cleaning up equipment as needed.

Gymnastics Instructor – Archery Instructor

Pay scale ranges from $9.50-$12.00 / hour depending on experience and position. Spring/Summer activities have an application deadline of March 3, 2017.

 

Redwood Falls Aquatic Center

LG Training course coming June 5-8, 2017 at the Redwood Falls Aquatic Center. Contact Tim for details (must be 15 to take the course).

Pool Managers

Required: Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid, prior pool experience, and must be 18 years old by first day of season. Desired Qualifications: Certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Instructor.

Ass’t Pool Mangers

Required: Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid, prior pool experience, and must be 18 years old by first day of season.

Lifeguard (12 weeks + service time, regular and part time positions available).

Required: Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid.

Pool Cashiers and Concessions (Approximately 12 weeks)

Disired qualifications: Certified in American Red Cross CPR and First Aid.

Water Safety Instructor (6 wks of lessons + inservice time, swimming instructor)

Required: Certifications in American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid.
